About
I work inside the retirement-plan industry, and I write Hoskins Capital for the people the industry mostly talks past: small business owners trying to pick a 401(k) provider, weigh a solo 401(k) against a SEP, or figure out whether the plan they already have is any good.
[TODO: 2–3 sentences of specific credibility — years in the industry, roles held (TPA, recordkeeper, advisory), designations, and the kinds of plans you’ve worked on.]
Most of what business owners read about retirement plans is written by the companies selling them. My goal here is simpler: explain how these plans actually work, what they actually cost, and where the trade-offs really are — the way I’d explain it to a friend who owns a business.
[TODO: how to reach you — email, LinkedIn — and any disclosure about your employer or affiliations.]
Everything here is educational content, not investment, tax, or legal advice. For decisions about your own plan, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.
